The Samsung S8000 Jet is a touchscreen mobile phone that, as the name suggests, puts a focus on speed. The Samsung Jet features an 800MHz processor that lets you multi task by running multiple applications and also improves responsiveness and battery life.
The S8000 incorporates Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface which lets users add shortcuts, known as widgets, to the home screen tool bar. Widgets can then be dragged and dropped to the active home screen in order to perform tasks such as listening to music, opening the calendar and managing connectivity such as switching Bluetooth on or off. The Jet user interface also features a 3D cube (similar to that found on LG’s S-Class 3D UI) with each side representing a different application such as the photo gallery, games and FM radio.
The Jet also features a 3.1 inch AMOLED touchscreen display which delivers a sharp, vibrant picture whilst conserving battery life and keeping size to a minimum. The touchscreen uses resistive technology and has a built in accelerometer which changes the orientation of the screen to match the phone and a proximity sensor which switches the screen on standby when the phone is held in close proximity to an object such as when on a call.
In terms of multimedia, the Jet includes a 5.0 Megapixel camera with built in GPS letting users Geo-tag photo’s to the location they were taken, face, smile and blink detection. DVD-like video capture is also on board and playback supports DivX and Xvid file formats.
The Internet is such a haven for everything free. Simply do a quick search on the web and you would find a number of things that you can get at no cost. Surprisingly, you can actually get some gifts of different kinds when you buy a mobile phone and sign in a contract.
